Okay it’s been a while since the last front page article was published but we’ve been working on the background to add website functionality and creating a solid base for this community. As you might have seen on the forums or downloads page WD hasn’t been sitting still either. Beta firmware version 1.02.07 is hot from the press and every update is followed with new versions of b-rad’s wdlxtv and zoranders ext3-boot modded firmwares. More functionality is added everyday as a lot of people are trying to get the most out of the brilliant little media player the WD TV HD is.

Upcoming features for WDTVC.com will be the opening of the tutorial section and upgrades for the, I must say very popular, thumbnail creator (more than 55,000 thumbs created in 18 days!). Also as more options to edit OSD files become available we want to host a OSD design contest. After the programmers have shown their skills it’s time for the designers to do so wouldn’t you think?
