Yes, you will first have to able to copy files from and to WD TV. You can do this with WDLXTV. I just posted a new article on it. It's very easy.

...just as an update, since brad.cc’s WDLXTV firmware supports Central Europe encoding, now I don't need to mod /temp/conf/config file as long as I'm converting my subs (srt) to UTF-8!

However I'm a curious man, so I tried it and I'm stuck. I have AirLink WT-2000USB adapter based on RaLink rt73 chipset, so, I suppose, it should work.

There is a line in tutorial saying "download zorander’s experimental pack (wireless-mod.app.bin) with drivers for these adapters and basic tools (iw*, wpa*)"...
What drivers and basic tools those should be?...for Windows, Linux...?

Also, is it necessary for WDLXTV firmware files to be always present on the boot disk along with wireless-mod.app.bin?

drivers and basic tools for linux, for your WD TV to use. For WDLXTV it is not necessary to have firmware present, wireless-mod.app.bin has to be always present in boot directory of pen drive.

Some tips:

Use WDLXTV 0.4.2, it has updated wifi support.
Try getting a connection without WEP/WPA first, setup security later.
I'm having trouble getting wireless-app.mod.bin loaded from NTFS USB HDD, I use small FAT32 pen drive.
