The WD TVC.com movie thumbnail generator is updated. In the old version some movies were unable to find. From now on you have some options to choose from so you will find your movie poster 99% of the times. Try searching imdb ID or movie title first, if that doesn't give any results try enabling "wild" search. It's also possible to resize from an url. The thumbnail generator is still being worked on, if you found a problem or have a functionality request please post here.

Can you share the source code of the IMDB image generator script ?

Reason I ask is I was sort-of working on a similar thing for the Xbox 360 , but gave up since I couldn't find something that worked !!
If not either point me to something that might help me, or a script I can call with image size as parameters. It is for personal use only

pictures are saved as "php" ?? ... i always need to rename the pictures
and imdb do not work for me

The image isn't actually saved as .php. It's a temporary file. Besides that I thought renaming is not an issue, since most people have to rename it anyway to make it show up in WD TV. I'll test IMDB later today for any bugs, some more changes were made yesterday, even more will follow this week.

with firefox pictures are saved as "php"
with ie (7) as "jpg"...

I dunno your testing method but I think you are confused. Firefox doesn't save it as .php, it gives the image the name of page is was loaded, which is image.php

so i always need to rename from php to jpg...(and the name of the movie...)
