This is a short tutorial on how to setup your WD TV HD to use with a wifi usb adapter. If u want wifi to start on boot, get a wifi usb adapter based on the following chipsets:

Zydas 1201 (11b)
Zydas 1211/1211b
RaLink 2870
RaLink rt73
Atheros Otus

download brad.cc’s WDLXTV firmware
download zorander’s experimental pack [...]

What you need:

USB Key formatted FAT or FAT32. The windows utility formats it fine
WDTV device (obviously)
A USB->Ethernet Adapter. For a list of compatible ones go here http://root.unknown.sk/wdtv/wiki/dok…ed_usb_devices I am using the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter which I bought from the Apple Store. Was easiest and quickest one for me to get.
